Confirm before the day

Pickup time, vehicle and fare are confirmed by your preferred contact method.

How a booking works

Simple to arrange, and easy to changeView full section

Give us the time and place

Your appointment time and destination. Dispatch works backwards to set the pickup, allowing for parking and the walk in.

Decide the return

Book a fixed return time, ask the driver to wait, or leave it open and call when you are finished.

Confirmed before the day

Dispatch confirms the pickup time, the vehicle and the price by text, call or email — whichever you prefer.

One number, any hour

If your appointment runs late, call or text dispatch as soon as possible. We will adjust the return pickup where availability allows, and any applicable waiting charges will be explained.

Mobility & assistance

Tell us what helps, not what's wrongView full section

The booking form asks what assistance you would like and what mobility aid, if any, is travelling with you. That is all we need — you will never be asked for a diagnosis, a condition or a reason for the appointment. Drivers can help you between the door and the vehicle and can carry a folding wheelchair, walker or cane. We do not operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles, so if you cannot transfer into a standard seat, dispatch will tell you plainly rather than send a vehicle that cannot help.

Common questions

Appointment transportation — what to expectView full section

Is this an emergency or ambulance service?

No. This is scheduled, non-emergency transportation only. Our drivers are licensed taxi drivers, not medical staff — there is no patient monitoring, no stretcher transportation and no medical care of any kind on board. In a medical emergency, call 911.

How far in advance should I book an appointment ride?

A day or two ahead is comfortable for most Charlottetown appointments. Early-morning hospital slots, dialysis and day-surgery times fill quickly, and trips to Moncton or Halifax should be arranged as far ahead as you can. Same-day rides are often possible — call dispatch and ask.

Can the same driver take me home afterwards?

A return trip can be booked at the same time, though the same driver cannot be guaranteed. If you know your appointment time but not the finish time, book the return as approximate — then call or text dispatch when you are ready, and the return pickup will be coordinated based on the confirmed arrangement and vehicle availability.

Can the driver wait during a short appointment?

Yes, for shorter appointments waiting can be arranged so you are not left without a ride afterwards. Waiting time is quoted with the trip. For longer appointments a booked return is usually the better value.

Can you set up recurring appointment transportation?

Yes. Recurring appointment pickups can be arranged so you are not rebooking every time. Tell dispatch the pattern and it will be set up as a standing request, confirmed against vehicle availability.

Can a family member or caregiver travel too?

A family member or caregiver may travel with you. Please include everyone in the passenger count so dispatch can assign the appropriate vehicle and confirm the fare.

Can you take me to appointments outside Charlottetown?

Yes. Appointments anywhere on Prince Edward Island are covered, and pre-arranged trips to hospitals in Moncton and Halifax are a regular part of what we do. These are quoted before travel and should be booked in advance.

Can you carry a walker or a folding wheelchair?

A folding wheelchair, walker or cane can normally be carried in the vehicle, and drivers can help you to and from the door. We are not a wheelchair-accessible service — you must be able to transfer into a standard vehicle seat. Describe what you use when booking and dispatch will confirm honestly whether we can help.

Common Questions

Non-Emergency Appointment Transportation FAQs

Is this an emergency or ambulance service?

No. This is scheduled, non-emergency transportation by licensed taxi drivers. In a medical emergency, call 911.

How far ahead should I book?

A day or two is comfortable for most local appointments. Early slots, recurring treatment and off-Island trips should be arranged as early as possible.

Can the driver wait?

Yes, waiting can be arranged for a shorter appointment and quoted with the trip. A scheduled return is often better for a longer visit.

Can you set up recurring transportation?

Yes. Send the schedule pattern and dispatch can set up standing requests, subject to vehicle availability.

Can a family member or caregiver travel too?

Yes. Include everyone in the passenger count so dispatch assigns the right vehicle and confirms the fare.

Can you carry a walker or folding wheelchair?

Usually, yes. The passenger must be able to transfer into a standard seat because this is not a wheelchair-accessible vehicle service.
